Americas Gold and Silver Corporation Completes Phase 1 of Galena No. 3 Shaft Upgrades Ahead of Schedule

Americas Gold and Silver Corporation announced the successful completion of Phase 1 upgrades to the No. 3 Shaft at its Galena Complex in Idaho. The upgrades, completed four days ahead of schedule, have already resulted in a 100% improvement in productivity, increasing material movement from 40 to 80 tons per hour. The project, part of a two-phase upgrade plan, aims to enhance hoisting capacity and operational efficiency. Phase 1 included upgrading the hoist motor, installing a spare motor, and adding weight measuring systems. Phase 2, scheduled to begin before the end of the year, will further enhance the hoisting system. The upgrades are expected to significantly boost mine productivity and cost efficiencies by the end of 2025.
