Northwest Natural Gas Company Rate Case Approval

On October 24, 2025, the Public Utility Commission of Oregon (OPUC) issued a final order approving the rate case filed by Northwest Natural Gas Company (NW Natural), a subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company. The rate case, initially filed on December 30, 2024, requested a $59.4 million annual revenue requirement increase, which included $10 million related to an updated depreciation study. After negotiations and stipulations with various parties, the final order resulted in a revenue requirement increase of $20.7 million over existing rates. The average rate base after final adjustments for completed capital projects was $2.27 billion, an increase of $180.1 million since the last rate case. New rates are expected to take effect on October 31, 2025.
