BBVA Credit Rating Upgrade by S&P Global Ratings

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA) announced that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded its long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) to A+ from A, with a stable outlook. Additionally, S&P upgraded BBVA's long-term resolution counterparty rating (RCR) to AA- from A+, short-term RCR to A-1+ from A-1, long-term senior unsecured debt issue rating to A+ from A, long-term senior subordinated debt issue rating to A- from BBB+, and long-term subordinated debt issue rating to BBB+ from BBB. The short-term ICR was affirmed at A-1. This upgrade reflects S&P's positive assessment of BBVA's financial stability and creditworthiness.
