AstraZeneca Appoints Wan Ling Martello as Non-Executive Director

AstraZeneca PLC filed a Form 6-K with the SEC on 1 September 2026 announcing the appointment of Wan Ling Martello as a Non-Executive Director, effective 1 September 2026. Upon joining the Board, Martello will also become a member of the Audit Committee. Martello is a founding partner of BayPine, a private equity firm, an Independent Director of Alibaba Group (NYSE-listed), and a Director of The Lovesac Company (Nasdaq-listed). Her background includes expertise in B2C technology-enabled business models, digital transformation, and M&A. She previously served as a director of Uber Technologies and Stellantis N.V. Chair Michel Demaré welcomed her appointment, noting her CFO and digital transformation experience will benefit the Audit Committee and the Board.
