Westlake Corporation Acquires PVC and VCM Production Site in Germany

Westlake Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Westlake Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG, has completed the acquisition of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) production site in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. This site has a capacity of 380,000 metric tons of PVC per year. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Westlake's Performance & Essential Materials business by expanding its global chlorovinyls manufacturing footprint and complementing its existing facilities in Europe and North America. The Wilhelmshaven plant is strategically located with advantageous logistical infrastructure, including a deep-water dock for efficient raw-material supply. Westlake anticipates welcoming the site's employees to the company.
