Volaris Reports August 2026 Traffic Results

Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V. (Volaris) reported its August 2026 traffic results, showing a 15.8% increase in capacity (ASMs) and a 15.4% rise in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) compared to the previous year. The consolidated load factor for August was 84.4%, a slight decrease of 0.3 percentage points year-over-year. The airline transported 3.2 million passengers in August. For the year-to-date period ending August 2026, Volaris experienced a 7.0% increase in total RPMs and a 5.6% increase in total ASMs, with a consolidated load factor of 85.3%. The company highlighted strong demand in both domestic and cross-border markets during the summer season and indicated proactive capacity moderation for the fall period. Domestic RPMs increased by 13.2% and international RPMs by 18.9% in August.
