Velo3D Awarded $32.6M Department of War Contract and Revises 2025 Revenue Guidance

Velo3D, Inc. announced a new contract with the U.S. Department of War’s Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) valued at $32.6 million. This contract, supporting DIU’s Project FORGE, aims to address critical defense manufacturing bottlenecks by utilizing Velo3D's advanced additive manufacturing capabilities to scale production for a major weapon system. The company will work with the U.S. Navy and an industry prime to prototype and qualify components, potentially exploring the development of the largest format Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) printing capability in the U.S. Additionally, Velo3D is revising its full-year 2025 revenue guidance to be between $45 million and $55 million, down from previous projections, due to limitations on business operations caused by an extended government shutdown in the fourth quarter of 2025. The company anticipates operations to return to pre-shutdown levels in fiscal year 2026.
