Shenandoah Telecommunications Company Reports First Quarter 2026 Results
Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) reported its first quarter 2026 financial and operating results. Total revenue increased by 4.8% year over year to $92.2 million, driven by a 34.6% increase in Glo Fiber Expansion Markets revenue, which reached $24.8 million. However, the company experienced a net loss from operations of $15.8 million, a widening from the $9.1 million loss in the first quarter of 2025. Adjusted EBITDA showed improvement, growing 15.0% year over year to $31.7 million. The company reiterated its 2026 financial guidance, expecting total revenue between $370-$377 million and Adjusted EBITDA between $131-$136 million. Capital expenditures are projected to be $220-$250 million, net of government grant reimbursements. Shentel also announced a workforce reduction of approximately 10% to align with the end of its Glo Fiber construction phase, expecting to save $12.3 million annually starting in 2027.
