Splash Beverage Group, Inc. Expands CannEpil® License to Include Veterinary Applications

Splash Beverage Group, Inc. has amended its exclusive global license agreement with Argent BioPharma Limited for CannEpil®. The addendum, effective July 28, 2026, expands the license to include veterinary applications in addition to human applications. The royalty rates have been adjusted: 10% of Net Revenue for veterinary applications and 15% for human applications. Various deadlines in the original agreement have also been extended. This expansion positions CannEpil within the significant companion-animal oncology and pain management markets, with potential development for canine indications. The company also announced on July 29, 2026, its intention to pursue regulatory approval through the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine’s Investigational New Animal Drug (INAD) and Conditional Approval pathways. Splash is also finalizing a joint venture with an established cannabinoid pharmaceutical company to lead the veterinary development program.
