Rackspace Technology and AMD Sign Definitive GPU-as-a-Service Agreement
Rackspace Technology, Inc. announced a definitive GPU-as-a-Service Agreement with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) for the phased deployment of 30 MW of AMD AI compute products across Rackspace's global data centers. The collaboration, starting in late 2026 and continuing through 2028, aims to create a new category of governed enterprise AI infrastructure, particularly for regulated industries. The agreement includes AMD Instinct™ GPUs and AMD EPYC™ CPUs integrated into Rackspace's AI stack. Key terms involve Rackspace dedicating data center capacity, subject to financing and operational conditions, and AMD potentially purchasing residual capacity. Both companies will jointly pursue customer opportunities. The agreement remains in effect until all deployments are terminated, with provisions for termination due to material breach, insolvency, or service level failures. The press release also includes forward-looking statements regarding the deployment timeline, benefits, financing, and market demand, alongside risks and uncertainties detailed in SEC filings. An investor call is scheduled for June 16, 2026, at 8:30 am ET.
