Sumant Sinha and CPPIB Propose Privatization of ReNew Energy Global plc at $6.75 Per Share

On May 28, 2026, Sumant Sinha, along with Cognisa Investment and Wisemore Advisory Private Limited (the Reporting Persons), filed a Schedule 13D/A regarding their holdings in ReNew Energy Global plc (RNW). The filing reveals that the Reporting Persons have joined a consortium with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) to submit a non-binding proposal to acquire all outstanding Class A ordinary shares of the Issuer not already owned by the consortium.
