Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Launches Generic Semaglutide Injection in Canada

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. has announced the launch of its generic Semaglutide Injection in Canada, following the receipt of a Notice of Compliance from Health Canada on April 28th, 2026. This makes Canada the first G7 country to authorize the market for this generic injection. The product is indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes to improve glycemic control when combined with diet and exercise. It is available in pre-filled pens in 2 mg and 4 mg strengths.
