Prudential Announces Completion of USD 2 Billion Share Buyback Programme

Prudential plc has successfully completed the third and final tranche of its USD 2 billion share buyback program, amounting to USD 500 million. This brings the total amount returned to shareholders in 2025 to USD 1.3 billion. The program involved the repurchase of 36,881,649 ordinary shares at an average price of 1,012.7 pence per share, totaling approximately £373.5 million (USD 0.5 billion). The repurchases have reduced the company's issued share capital by 120 million shares, representing 4.5% of the capital as of January 1, 2025. Prudential plans to initiate another share buyback program in early 2026 and will make further announcements in due course.
