Oceaneering International Appoints New Director and CFO

Oceaneering International, Inc. announced significant leadership changes effective January 1, 2026. Roger Jenkins has been elected as an independent, non-executive director, bringing extensive experience from his tenure as CEO of Murphy Oil Corporation and his current board positions in the energy and financial sectors. Concurrently, Michael W. Sumruld has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Alan R. Curtis, who is retiring but will assist in the transition. Mr. Sumruld, who joined Oceaneering in September 2025, has a background with Parker Drilling Company, LyondellBasell Industries, and Baker Hughes. The company has also detailed the compensatory arrangements for Mr. Sumruld, including base salary, supplemental retirement plan benefits, bonus program targets, and long-term incentive awards. Both Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Sumruld will enter into indemnification agreements with the company.
