Nouveau Monde Graphite Announces $297 Million Equity Financing for Phase-2 Matawinie Mine

Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. announced a comprehensive $297 million equity financing package consisting of a $213 million private placement and an $84 million public offering of subscription receipts. The private placement involves strategic investments from Canada Growth Fund ($82M), Investissement Québec ($61M), and Eni S.p.A. ($70M). The concurrent public offering involves 45.6 million subscription receipts at $1.84 each, with proceeds intended to fund the Phase-2 Matawinie Mine project. The financing, combined with previously announced $335 million in project debt facilities, is expected to fully secure funding for the mine's construction and advance the project to final investment decision (FID). The company plans to use proceeds for mine design, engineering, construction, and general working capital. The private placement requires shareholder approval, with a special meeting scheduled for May 13, 2026.
