Nine Energy Service, Inc. Appoints Heather Schmidt as Chief Financial Officer

Heather Schmidt has been appointed as the permanent Chief Financial Officer and principal financial officer of Nine Energy Service, Inc., effective May 22, 2026. Ms. Schmidt, who joined the company in 2012, has held various senior roles, including Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Investor Relations since November 2024. Her prior experience includes roles in strategic development, investor relations, and marketing, as well as time at SCF Partners. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Columbia University and an MBA from Rice University. In connection with her appointment, Ms. Schmidt entered into an employment agreement that provides for a base salary of $425,000, a target annual bonus of 75% of her base salary, and long-term incentive awards valued at $600,000. The agreement also outlines severance benefits in case of termination under specific conditions, including a "Qualifying Termination," which may include a severance payment, a prorated annual bonus, and continued health benefits for up to 18 months. The agreement includes provisions for termination for "Cause" or "Good Reason," and details non-compete and non-solicitation clauses.
