Landstar System, Inc. Announces Executive Leadership Changes

Landstar System, Inc. has announced key executive leadership changes. William Clement has been appointed as the new Chief Commercial Officer, effective August 1, 2026. He will be responsible for leading the company's commercial strategy, supporting the independent agent network, and enhancing customer relationships. Clement brings over 30 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, including his recent role at CRST. In conjunction with this appointment, Jim Applegate will transition to the role of Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer. Additionally, Matt Dannegger will move from Chief Field Sales Officer to Special Advisor to the CEO, effective July 31, 2026, and will depart the company on March 1, 2027. These changes are intended to support Landstar's long-term growth strategy.
