Frontier Nuclear Nears Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for Namibia Uranium Project
Frontier Nuclear and Minerals Inc., a nuclear fuel cycle company, filed a Form 6-K with a press release announcing it is on track to complete its maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Engo Valley uranium project in Namibia by mid-Q3 2026. The company completed a 5,565-meter Phase 2 drill program in 2025, collecting 1,237 samples for analysis. Namibia is the world's third largest uranium producer, and Frontier believes Engo Valley has geological potential to become a strategic uranium development asset. The filing highlights significant U.S. policy developments supporting nuclear energy, including uranium being designated as a critical mineral, executive orders aiming to quadruple U.S. nuclear capacity by 2050, and $2.7 billion in Department of Energy funding for domestic uranium enrichment. These policies could increase U.S. uranium demand from 47 million to 190 million pounds annually, creating opportunities for uranium imports from allied jurisdictions like Namibia.
