Lazard to Acquire Campbell Lutyens to Create Global Leader in Private Capital Advisory

Lazard, Inc. announced its definitive agreement to acquire Campbell Lutyens, a global private markets advisor, for approximately $575 million. This acquisition will create a new unit, Lazard CL, positioning it as the leading global private capital advisory platform. Lazard CL will combine Lazard's existing private capital advisory group with Campbell Lutyens' expertise in fund placement, secondary advisory, and GP capital advisory services across various asset classes and geographies. The combined entity is projected to generate approximately $500 million in 2027 revenue, with over 280 advisory professionals and a dedicated institutional distribution team. This strategic move aims to enhance Lazard's service offerings by integrating M&A, capital markets advisory, and restructuring services with the new private capital advisory capabilities, aligning with Lazard's 2030 vision for growth and innovation, including leveraging AI for deeper client insights. The transaction is expected to be accretive to earnings in 2027, with closing anticipated in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
