IAMGOLD Corporation Acquires Northern Superior Resources Inc.

IAMGOLD Corporation has completed its acquisition of Northern Superior Resources Inc. through a plan of arrangement. This acquisition significantly expands IAMGOLD's Nelligan Mining Complex in Quebec, making it one of Canada's largest pre-production gold projects. The company aims to accelerate exploration to further expand mineralization at Nelligan, Philibert, and Monster Lake, complementing its Côté Gold Mine. Northern Superior shareholders received a combination of IAMGOLD shares and cash, and Northern Superior will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange. IAMGOLD, an intermediate gold producer, operates mines in North America and West Africa and holds a portfolio of exploration projects.
