Hoth Therapeutics Subsidiary Enters Exclusive AI and Data Center License Agreements with VCU

On May 15, 2026, Hoth Therapeutics, Inc., through its newly formed subsidiary Rocket One Inc., entered into two exclusive license agreements with the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Intellectual Property Foundation. Under these agreements, VCU granted Rocket One exclusive, royalty-bearing rights to certain patents and non-exclusive rights to technical information for commercial use in data centers and artificial intelligence. Financial terms include a mid-single-digit royalty on net sales covered by patents, a low-single-digit royalty on technical information, and a low-double-digit percentage of sublicensing revenue. Additionally, Rocket One will pay minimum annual payments ranging from low-to-mid five figures and reimburse VCU for patent legal expenses. Concurrently, Hoth Therapeutics announced its intention to change its name to 'Rocket One, Inc.' and restructure its business to focus on AI infrastructure, next-generation semiconductor technologies, and ultra-low-power AI computing. The license remains effective until the expiration of the last patent or 15 years from the first commercial sale, whichever is later. Rocket One must meet specific diligence milestones, including raising $500,000 in capital within 12 months and releasing a commercial product within 36 months.
