Hafnia Limited Enters into Newbuild Agreement for Eight Medium-Range Product Tankers

Hafnia Limited has signed a contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries for the construction of eight Medium-Range (MR) product tankers. The total cost of the agreement is approximately USD 405 million, with deliveries scheduled between the third quarter of 2028 and the second quarter of 2029. This strategic move aims to enhance Hafnia's fleet with modern, fuel-efficient vessels, reinforcing its long-term earnings potential and commitment to decarbonization. The newbuilds are expected to provide scale benefits, predictable performance, and strengthen the company's competitive position in the MR segment, while also improving its customer offerings. Hafnia, a leading tanker owner, is part of the BW Group and operates a substantial fleet with integrated services and a global presence.
