GSK plc Update on Camlipixant Clinical Trials

2026-07-17SEC Filing 6-K (0001654954-26-006705)

GSK plc announced an update on the CALM-1 and CALM-2 Phase III clinical trials for camlipixant, a P2X3 receptor antagonist for refractory chronic cough (RCC). While CALM-1 met its primary endpoint with statistically significant reductions in cough frequency at 50mg twice daily, CALM-2 did not reach statistical significance for the same endpoint at any dose. Secondary endpoints were also not met in either study. Adverse events were similar between camlipixant and placebo groups. Due to limited efficacy, GSK has decided not to pursue further development of camlipixant for RCC. Results will be submitted for presentation to contribute to scientific understanding. The BALANCE Phase IIb trial for camlipixant in IBS-D and IBS-M will continue.
