Genprex Announces Positive Predictive Biomarker Data for Reqorsa® Gene Therapy at ASCO 2026
On May 26, 2026, Genprex, Inc. announced the publication of clinical data at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting regarding predictive biomarkers for its lead drug candidate, Reqorsa® Gene Therapy (quaratusugene ozeplasmid). Data from 18 patients across the Acclaim-1, Acclaim-2, and Acclaim-3 clinical trials were analyzed to evaluate the correlation between Trop-2 and PTEN protein expression and Progression Free Survival (PFS). In patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), the study found that Trop-2 H-scores above 100 significantly correlated with prolonged PFS (p=0.05), and PTEN H-scores below 100 also significantly correlated with prolonged PFS (p=0.03). Conversely, these correlations were not statistically significant in patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). Genprex performed additional analysis confirming a strong positive relationship between high Trop-2 expression and PFS in NSCLC. These findings substantiate earlier preclinical evidence and suggest that Trop-2 and PTEN may serve as critical biomarkers for targeted patient selection and precision medicine in future REQORSA clinical applications.
