Golar LNG Acquires Conversion Vessel for 4th FLNG
Golar LNG Limited has announced the acquisition of the LNG carrier Grace Dahlia from NYK Line. The vessel, built in 2013, will be converted into Golar's fourth Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility, FLNG #4. This new FLNG will have a storage capacity of 177,427cbm, approximately 20% larger than the FLNG Esperanza currently under construction, offering enhanced offloading flexibility for customers. FLNG #4 will be converted at CIMC Raffles’ Yantai shipyard in China, alongside FLNG Esperanza, with a scheduled redelivery in 2029, making it the earliest available FLNG capacity globally. The company has also included forward-looking statements regarding future performance, management's expectations, and potential risks and uncertainties.
