Enel Chile Q1 2026 Financial Results and Operational Update
Enel Chile S.A. reported its consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026. The company achieved net income attributable to shareholders of US$162 million, a 7.0% decrease compared to March 2025, primarily due to higher financial expenses that offset improved operating income. Operating revenues increased 8.7% to US$1,198 million, while procurement costs rose 4.8% to US$682 million. EBITDA grew 15.8% to US$423 million, driven by strong performance in the generation segment which saw 22.0% EBITDA growth to US$386 million. The financial result shifted from a US$26 million expense to a US$78 million expense due to lower foreign exchange gains and higher financial costs. The company began construction of the Azabache BESS battery energy storage system (94 MW capacity, 372 MWh storage) in April 2026. Enel Chile changed its functional currency from Chilean pesos to U.S. dollars effective January 1, 2025. The company maintains 78% renewable energy capacity in its portfolio and reported total net capacity of 8,884 MW as of March 31, 2026.
