Celldex Q2 2026 Results: Barzolvolimab CSU Phase 3 Data Expected Fall 2026; PN Study Discontinued
Celldex Therapeutics reported second quarter 2026 financial results, ending the period with $717.6 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities. This represents a significant increase from $451.5 million in Q1 2026, primarily due to $323.8 million in net proceeds from an April 2026 public offering. The company reported a net loss of $73.5 million ($0.94 per share) for the quarter. Research and development expenses rose to $67.5 million, driven by clinical trial and manufacturing costs for barzolvolimab. Critically, Celldex announced the discontinuation of its Phase 2 study of barzolvolimab in prurigo nodularis (PN) after the trial failed to meet primary or key secondary endpoints. However, the company remains focused on its Phase 3 chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) program (EMBARQ-CSU 1 and 2), which has completed enrollment. Topline data for the CSU trials are expected in September/October 2026, with a BLA submission planned for 2027. Additionally, topline Phase 2 data in atopic dermatitis are expected in late 2026. Celldex believes its current cash runway is sufficient to fund operations through 2028.
