Nuburu, Inc. Announces 1-for-40 Reverse Stock Split
Nuburu, Inc. has implemented a 1-for-40 reverse stock split, effective September 1, 2026. This action was taken to regain compliance with NYSE American's minimum trading price requirement, as the company's stock was suspended on July 17, 2026, and delisting proceedings were initiated. The reverse stock split is expected to reduce the number of outstanding shares from approximately 370.5 million to 9.26 million. Fractional shares will be rounded up to the nearest whole share. The company's trading symbol will temporarily change to "BURUD" for 20 business days before reverting to "BURU." While the reverse stock split aims to improve the stock price, there is no guarantee it will be successful or that the company will avoid delisting. Trading has been on the OTC market since July 20, 2026. The company has an upcoming hearing with the NYSE American on September 10, 2026, regarding its appeal against the delisting determination.
