B2Gold Corp. Reports Update on Fire-Related Incident at Goose Mine
B2Gold Corp. reported an update on a fire that occurred in the crushing circuit at the Goose Mine on April 16, 2026. No injuries were reported, and the damage was localized to the crushing circuit, with no impact on the mill or power facility. The company plans to use mobile crushers and source additional temporary crushing capacity while repairs are completed, which are estimated to finish in the third quarter of 2026. The estimated cost of repairs is C$10 million. Due to the incident, gold production for the second quarter of 2026 is now forecasted to be between 18,000 to 20,000 ounces, a reduction of approximately 10,000 ounces from previous estimates. However, the full-year production guidance for the Goose Mine remains unchanged at 170,000 to 230,000 ounces. The company anticipates that the availability of crushed ore in the second half of 2026 will not be affected.
