Beta Bionics Updates Commercialization Timeline for Mint Patch Pump

Beta Bionics, Inc. has announced an update to the commercialization timeline for its Mint patch pump. The company now expects full commercialization by the end of the second quarter of 2027, pending regulatory clearance from the FDA. This revised timeline is based on the FDA's initial feedback on the Mint ACE insulin pump 510(k) application and advancements in manufacturing scalability. Beta Bionics anticipates that its manufacturing capacity will be sufficient to meet the anticipated demand at launch. The company highlighted that Mint, when commercialized, is expected to be compatible with their iAGC algorithm and leading continuous glucose monitors, and will feature a 200-unit reservoir, three days of wear time with a 12-hour grace period, and be waterproof. The product will be available through the pharmacy channel.
