Braskem S.A. Responds to Public Civil Action Regarding Geological Risk in Maceió

Braskem S.A. has responded to a request for clarification from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) regarding a public civil action filed by the Public Defender's Office of Alagoas and the Unified Movement of Braskem Victims. The action seeks to change the Map of Priority Actions and prepare a Geotechnical Damage Map for the communities of Flexais de Cima and Baixo, areas affected by geological risks due to mining extraction. The plaintiffs are demanding R$1.7 billion in compensation for moral and material damages. Braskem has not yet been formally cited in the legal action but will evaluate and take appropriate measures within the legal deadlines. The company has made itself available for further clarifications if necessary.
