Ascentage Pharma Announces Positive Clinical Data for Olverembatinib and Lisaftoclax at EHA 2026
Ascentage Pharma announced seventeen clinical updates for its core assets, olverembatinib and lisaftoclax, at the EHA 2026 Congress. Olverembatinib, a third-generation BCR-ABL1 inhibitor, demonstrated high efficacy in several trials. In the POLARIS-1 Phase III study for newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL, the CR/CRi rate reached 94.4% with a 93.1% MRD-negativity rate by cycle 9. In a Phase II study for second-line CML-CP, it achieved a 76.2% CCyR rate and 47.6% MMR rate. Furthermore, a controlled trial showed that switching to olverembatinib significantly improved 6-month MMR rates (54.3%) compared to continuing prior TKI therapy (10.0%). Lisaftoclax, a Bcl-2 inhibitor, showed a 62.5% ORR and 23.9-month median PFS in a Phase II study for R/R CLL/SLL patients refractory to BTK inhibitors. Real-world data in myeloid neoplasms showed a 72% CR/CRi rate in AML patients. Additionally, a chemotherapy-free combination of both drugs in pediatric R/R Ph+ ALL achieved an 88.9% ORR. Both assets maintained manageable safety profiles across various hematologic malignancies.
